Oxygen is the most vital substance we take into our bodies every day. All life requires it to live. Since it is so critical to our health, we need to make a conscious effort to make sure that the air we breathe is clean, oxygenated, and germ free.

Did you know that most indoor air is contaminated with bacteria, viruses, molds, mildew, fungus, yeast, chemical residues, pet dander, pollen, and objectionable odors? While so many of us focus on health and what we put into our bodies, the most important element we need to survive is oxygen rich air. Addressing air purification is an extremely important aspect of a health program. You could eat the best food, exercise, take supplements and do everything you think is right to maintain your health, while the air you breathe indoors could be neutralizing your efforts. Some indoor air could actually be making you very sick, or possibly even kill you or those you share indoor space with, if you don’t take steps to fix it.

Recent hurricanes in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi have literally poisoned millions of homes and businesses with many forms of mold, including black mold and other dangerous germs. Victims of the horrific flooding in the northeast during the spring of 2006 have also been affected. Unless you have taken measures to clean up the indoor air you breathe, chances are good that you could have a problem. 

What if you knew there was a patented air purifier that has been clinically proven to sterilize dangerous germs, and clean up your air with an activated form of oxygen that is completely safe? To shed some light on air purification, CRUSADOR editor, Greg Ciola interviews Ted Trikilis of Aran Aqua. Crusador:  Ted, why should we be concerned about the quality of the indoor air we breathe in our homes, offices and schools?
 
It is very important from a personal health issue. The air in homes and offices is far more polluted with bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi than the average person can imagine. Indoor air pollution can be as much as 10 to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air, and can cause a wide range of health problems. Most home and office systems re-cycle the air to conserve on heat and cooling costs in summer and in winter. In the ducts of the air handling systems we find the ideal place for micro-organisms to grow unabated. These micro-organisms will constantly be released in the air system and will begin replicating in all the rooms where the air system continues to force air into those rooms. People will breathe these organisms into their lungs and will become victims of these pathogens.

Many people also have pets that create odors, and they can bring germs in from the outside. There are millions of homes and businesses contaminated with mold and other germs from all the hurricanes and floods in recent years. Then there are all the old homes that have been around for many decades that have rotting wood, cracks in the walls, leaks, and other various issues that cause serious problems.

Crusador:  Tell us about the ARANIZER air purifier and how it works?

The ARANIZER is quite a bit different from other air purification technologies. The ARANIZER creates higher levels of Oxygen than Ozone (O3) without the harmful by-products most ozone machines produce. Higher oxygen levels in the air will seek out and destroy pollutants, bacteria, mold spores, and pet dander, not only in the air, but on surfaces as well.

The process works as follows: We take ambient air, which is the air in the atmosphere, and pass it over our patented ARAN generator. The ARAN generator creates a high energy, low heat plasma field, where it bombards oxygen molecules with electrons. This process selectively separates the oxygen molecules, while leaving the nitrogen molecule intact. With this greater level of energy, the oxygen atoms are able to recombine into higher allotropes of oxygen like O4, O5, O6, O7, O8, O9, O10, Ox, which we termed as ARAN, our trademarked name for all molecules created that are greater than Ozone (O3).

The ARANIZER unleashes the power of a thunderstorm to purify the air, making your environment cleaner and healthier. The patented ARAN generator creates a special electrical corona that energizes the oxygen in the air, similar to the effects of the discharge of a lightening bolt. The ARANIZER simply accelerates the process nature uses to break down air pollutants, leaving the air smelling fresh and clean, without using chemical fragrances or costly filters. The ARANIZER puts “life” back into dead, stagnant indoor air.

In basic scientific terms so your readers can understand this, Ozone is O3 and when it releases the O from the O3, it is “over” as far as the work it can do. That’s why most ozone machines don’t work that well. When our patented ARAN process creates higher allotropes of oxygen, say O14 for example, it can release an “O” and become O13. Another release of “O” will reduce it to “O12,” and another release of an “O” it will become “O11,” etc….. You’re getting energized, activated oxygen for the most effective air cleansing on the market. 

Crusador:  Why can’t I find ARAN in Chemistry books?

ARANS was first used by Dr. Manfrid Curry in his books, “Bioclimatica” in 1946. Dr. Curry stated that there are higher forms of Oxygen found in the stratosphere than Ozone (O3). He actually uses the O4, O5, O6, O7, O8, O9 etc. symbols in his paragraph on “ARANS.”

Nick Trikilis used ARANS as ARAN in his first corporation: “ARANAIR TM Corp.” in 1956. The story of ARAN was copyrighted in 1965 to coincide with his first patent of the ARAN Generator.

Crusador:  How long has the ARANIZER been on the market and can you tell us a little history about the discovery of this technology?

The company was originally started in 1920 as an Ozone company. It produced an Ozone machine trademarked as “HomOzone,” and the success of this Ozone machine dominated the market through 1965. My father, the late Nick Trikilis, discovered ARAN in 1960 and he patented the O4/O5 generator in 1965.  As a sales person for HomOzone from 1946 to 1950, my father saw the future of Air and Water Purification and bought the HomOzone Company in 1950.

From 1960 throughout his life and untimely death in an automobile accident in 1980, my father tried to convince the industry that ARAN existed, only to be scoffed at by competitors that denied its existence.

Our new patents will establish O4, O5, O6, O7, O8, O9, Ox as a true form of the Oxygen molecule created by our new “Corona-TROM TM” technology.

Crusador:  What kinds of tests have been conducted to prove the safety and effectiveness of the ARANIZER?

The best test verifying the safety of our equipment is the fact that as a family business for over 60 years, we have not had one claim brought against the company or my family for the use of our ARANIZERS. Additionally, we pay less than $600.00 per year for a product liability insurance policy that is for $1,000,000! The thousands of testimonials we received over the past 60 years from satisfied customers attests to the safety of our equipment.

We have applied to the FDA for a Class 2 status on the HVAC systems as a Class 2 Medical Device. We expect to obtain it shortly.

Crusador:  What separates the ARANIZER from other air purifiers, and what kind of helpful tips can you give our readers who may be looking to clean up their air?

Most air purifiers that you see being advertised are either air filters or ozone machines using ultraviolet bulbs to generate Ozone.

Air filters are useless because they only filter the air passing through the filter. In 2000, the University of California at Berkeley stated in their monthly newsletter that air filters are not good. In order to rid the area of pollutants, you must go to the pollutants and rid them at their location.

Ultraviolet Bulb ozone machines cannot be adjusted for output, and the amount of Ozone created is very little. It would take ultraviolet 100 bulb systems to equal our smallest machine’s output of ARAN.

Additionally, we offer a 4 year unconditional warranty on all parts and labor.

Most UV systems have to replace the UV bulbs every 10 to 12 months. This can cost as much as the original UV machine!

Crusador:   How effective has the ARANIZER been with mold and other water damage people have suffered from during all the hurricanes and floods in the northeast? 

We have several tests by Third Party microorganism laboratories verifying the effectiveness of our ARANIZERS.

One of our latest tests was conducted in the Glendale, California area.  A house was pre-tested and showed 2.4 million count of Aspergillis and Pennicillum per cubic meter (39” x 39” x 39”) and 1900 black Stachy botra per cubic meter.

After 72 hours with our MARS 16 unit, the after test showed only 25 Aspergillis and Pennicillum per cubic meter, and no Stachy Botra at all.

A control test was taken outside the house, which showed 50 and 63 Aspergillis and Pennicillum.  The house was actually cleaner than the air outside the structure.
   
Crusador:   In light of the ongoing threat of domestic terrorism, how important is it for people to have an ARANIZER air purifier?

Our units kill several bacteria and viruses including Anthrax. Having an SS-8 unit is good in case of a massive attempt to spread bio-terrorism organisms in an area. It is like having a gun. It is better to have one and not need it, than to need one and not have it.

Crusador:  What is the chemical smell when the ARANIZER is turned “ON?” It reminds me of a swimming pool?

ARAN is only Oxygen while the swimming pool is using Chlorine. Both elements are close to each other on the Periodic Table, however, Chlorine is a deadly poison and Oxygen is a necessity of life.

The odor of ARAN becomes odorless over a period of time. In fact, some customers enjoy its smell and often remark that the “freshness” they used to experience when entering their home no longer exists. Yet, it is there. It is just that the customer has acquired a sense of smell that allows ARAN to go unnoticed.

Crusador:  Are these machines dangerous for asthmatics or people suffering from respiratory ailments, and if not, why?

Most asthmatics enjoy the use of our machines. I have several letters testifying to the machine’s effectiveness in removing pollutants that aggravate an asthmatic’s condition. It should be stressed that people with breathing problems should start the ARANIZER at its lowest setting, and only increase the output as their body becomes accustomed to the machine.

Crusador:  We are told that ozone is something we should avoid. If these machines are safe, how come so many articles appear in the news that say it isn’t safe?

I have corresponded with the FDA, EPA and OSHA requesting under the ‘Freedom of Information Act’ the following information:

1. All reports, tests, memos, data etc. in which any human being has died as a result of being exposed to Ozone.

2. All reports, tests, memos, data etc. in which any human being has suffered any type of incapacitation related to Ozone exposure.

3. All reports, tests, memos, data etc. in which any human being has been bodily harmed in any fashion related to exposure to Ozone.

4. All reports, tests, memos, data etc. in which any human being after being exposed to Ozone showed any allergic reactions from Ozone exposure.

All agencies responded that in their entire history, there is nothing in their files responsive to my requests. In fact, OSHA stated in addition to their lack of information since their inception in 1972, there is nothing in their data base, and that it is against the law for any company to withhold any information from OSHA in which three or more employees have been damaged as a result of a hazardous injury.

You have to look at the chemical companies that produce chlorine for the reason false information is being disseminated by our government. OSHA sets the limit for Ozone in a workplace at .1 parts per million (ppm) while chlorine is set at 1.0 ppm. This is 10X the amount of Ozone. Yet we know that millions of people were killed in WWII by Gas chambers using Chlorine Gas.

Acetone found in airplane model glue was used in the 1970’s by teenagers to get “high” by smelling the fumes of acetone in a paper bag. All users suffered permanent brain damage. Yet the limit set by OSHA is 1000 ppm! This is 10,000X the limit set for Ozone.

Crusador:  How can the ARANIZER be a purifier, sterilizer/disinfectant and a deodorizer all in one?

One must look at the properties of ARAN and the reasons “why” things smell and need sterilization. Bacteria, viruses and fungi create foul odors when they exist on organic substances. In order for these pathogens to multiply, they must consume organic material and digest these substances as they proliferate.

Once we kill these pathogens by oxidizing them (burning them with ARAN on a molecular level) the odors are also oxidized. The oxidation process easily removes all organic odors.

We kill the pathogens (sterilization) and oxidize the odors (air purification) all in the same manner.

Crusador:   If the ARANIZER is used in a hospital room, will it sterilize it, and how can you prove this to people?

We have tests that show the sterilization of Staph, Strep, E-coli, samonella, listeria done in the air, as well as the surfaces.  We can keep infections to a minimum and still remove odors associated with fecal discharges, as well as urine odors.

Crusador:  Will all smells be completely eliminated forever, or will they come back if you turn the machine off?

The ARANIZER removes the odors permanently. However, odors will return if people continue to urinate in the area or defecate in the area. Any odor is removed and will not return unless it is re-introduced by the source of that odor.

Crusador:  Can the ARANIZER be kept on for long periods of time? Should they be turned on only when there are odors? How is the ARANIZER regulated? How high should the dial be turned?

The ARANIZER is best when it is left in the “ON” position. We have a saying, “Turn it up, or turn it down, but do not turn it “OFF.”

The units are very energy efficient. The SS-4X uses about 15 watts of electricity. That is about the amount of energy a refrigerator bulb uses. The SS-8X uses about 50 watts. That is less energy than a 60-watt light bulb.

All units come with an electronic controller that allows for increases or decreases in the ARAN output. We suggest that you set the level of ARAN at a level that is comfortable to the user.

Crusador:  Won’t the ARANIZER output combine with the pollutants in a room and form Oxides of Nitrogen?

No. That is a myth that was started by the electric companies and the automobile manufacturers. They want to hide the fact that they produce Oxides of Nitrogen with coal burning electric plants and automobile combustion engines. By placing the problems on Ozone’s shoulders, they mislead the people. Keep in mind that Oxides of Nitrogen create the second form of Acid Rain. Sulphuric Acid is created from high sulphur coal. Nitric Acid is created by Oxides of Nitrogen mixing with water vapor. This Acid rain dissolves the metals in our soil, and pollutes our water tables with heavy metals.

Crusador:  Does ARAN turn into ozone upon oxidation?

ARAN can be reduced to the O3 level during its oxidation process, however, the O3 resulting from ARAN is more powerful than normal O3 generated by UV Bulbs. Our O3 has more electrons in its configuration.
