CRUSADOR Interviews Health Ranger Mike Adams Who Says That Everything We Have Been Taught About Health, Disease, Food and Medicine Is Utterly False
Mike Adams has come to be known as the Health Ranger because he spends most of his waking hours writing, teaching, and interviewing experts on important health issues. Adams is someone we can trust and listen to because he used to be chronically diseased with borderline obesity, diabetes, depression, and severe back pain. He used to visit doctors and follow their advice, and he used to eat anything he wanted: sodas, pizza, donuts, milk, hamburgers…...you name it.
In a desperate search for answers to his health problems, Adams discovered that everything he had ever been told about health -- by his doctors, schools and even our own government -- was a lie. Those lies explain why we are all so diseased today, burdened with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and many other diseases that are entirely preventable.
On his popular website www.newstarget.com, Adams says that: “The vast majority of all diseases can be easily prevented and even cured without drugs or surgery. Real cures exist right now for diabetes, cancer, heart disease, depression, osteoporosis, and many other so-called ‘diseases.’ They are simple, straightforward, and readily available to virtually everyone. I can show any person how to reverse type-2 diabetes in a few weeks, for example. And I can teach anyone how to prevent and avoid every major chronic disease, using strategies that are largely available free of charge.”

Crusador: Tell our audience how you came to be known as the Health Ranger? Mike: I actually used to be a follower of conventional medicine. I believed what doctors told me. I thought drug companies were doing important work. I used to eat a standard American diet. As a result, by the age of about 31, I was chronically diseased, borderline diabetic, and borderline obese. I was in a state of severe depression and suffering from extreme back pain, so severe that I couldn't even sit down without experiencing excruciating pain. It didn't take me long to learn that what doctors were telling me and the radical solutions being offered to me, such as surgery and synthetic chemicals known as pharmaceuticals, were not going to help me. So I began to simply educate myself, just as I now encourage other people to do. I began to learn that everything I had been taught about medicine and health was either an outright lie or a distortion of the truth. As I began to follow this new information and get into nutrition and avoiding pharmaceuticals, avoiding doctors and instead turning to naturopathic health based on nutrition and physical fitness, I began to heal. My depression faded away, my chronic back pain vanished, I dropped 50 pounds of excess body fat, and I became fit.
Through nutrition I was able to achieve an extremely high level of health as verified by the laboratory results that I post online. I don't say this to brag but just to demonstrate a point. I have LDL cholesterol of 67, HDL cholesterol, which is the good cholesterol, of 62, and I did it without drugs. I did it through foods, nutritional supplements, exercise, and basically getting back to those things that our bodies are meant to do to heal. Crusador: How did you get started with your website, www.newstarget.com? Mike: Well, as my body and health transformed, a lot of people asked me, "Mike, what are you doing?" Everybody wants to know how to get healthier and they don't know who to believe or who to turn to. The information that they're getting from the mainstream sources is not only wrong, it's actually harmful. It makes them worse. So I began to start posting articles online, and these became very popular and it expanded. We were able to then just expand our operations, hire additional staff, do more research, and build the largest private electronic library of health books in the world, where we've actually digitized hundreds and hundreds of books that we use as our own research base. We've published over 20,000 content items over the last three years, and we're reaching half a million readers a month through that website. Crusador: I'd like to touch on some of the real strong content that I've been able to pinpoint that I think will interest people. One of the topics you cover is hidden ingredients on food labels, what we'll call food lies exposed. Why don't you touch on some of that because this is a huge area where deception is occurring? Mike: Absolutely. The food companies are in business to sell more food products, period. They're not in business to protect your health, and they are not financially responsible for the health problems that their products cause. They put things in their food that are convenient to them. As a result, there are all sorts of chemicals, additives and some really strange items that are found in everyday food that would just shock people.
Here's a good example. There's a food coloring called carmine that is found in strawberry yogurts, some fruit punches, and various candies. It's listed on the label as carmine, but what it's made from is the ground up husks of female cochineal beetles that are raised in the Canary Islands and other places. They mash these insects up into a paste and then they filter that and it creates the red coloring. That goes right into the foods, but yet the food companies don't say, "Oh, we've put ground-up insects in your food." They have this secret code in order to lie to consumers on their labels. There are many, many examples of how large food corporations are using this secret code to hide ingredients that are either dangerous or just downright gross. Crusador: What are some other interesting examples? Mike: If you've ever purchased blueberry pancake mix or blueberry bagels, you might want to take a closer look at what's in those blueberry bits because in almost every case, there are no blueberries in there at all. The blueberry bits are made from a combination of corn syrup solids with artificial blue and green food colorings derived from coal tar. In other words, they are petroleum derivatives combined with something called propylene glycol. Now, propylene glycol is what you pour into your RV to winterize it so that the pipes won't freeze. This is listed right on the label. Go check out a blueberry bagel package. You'll see propylene glycol right there on it.
Propylene glycol is used in a whole lot of products. I've seen it in things like salad dressings as well. It's something you’ve got to watch out for. The chemical companies say it's inert, but you know what, I don't see propylene glycol growing on trees in nature. From my point of view, if nature didn't make it, I don't want to be putting it in my body. Crusador: You have a story posted on your website titled, "The Top Ten Things Food Companies Don't Want You To Know." Tell us a little bit about the information you touch on in that report? Mike: Well, one of the things they don't want you to know is that the labels don't really tell you everything that's in the food. There can be solvents and chemicals that are by-products of processing or that are created during high temperature cooking that are present in the food and are very dangerous. They're actually carcinogenic but are not required to be listed on the labels at all. For example, any carbohydrate that's been cooked at high temperatures such as most snack foods, fried chips, or even cookies and crackers contain a chemical called acrylamide. It's actually a class of chemicals, acrylamides and they are known carcinogens. They are blatantly toxic to the human body. There's been increasing awareness about this over the last year or so, but it's still not required to be listed on the labels, and it's something that is damaging consumers right now. There's another ingredient that many people are aware of, monosodium glutamate, or MSG for short. It’s classified as an excitotoxin, which means it displays neurotoxic effects, so it harms the nervous system, including the brain and even the eyes. But food manufacturers hide that on the labels by using innocent sounding terms like yeast extract which serves the same purpose as MSG and has many of the same molecular compounds. Crusador: We touched on MSG in Crusader too. My take on it is that MSG actually excites the sense of taste so that you get hooked on these foods; is that true? Mike: Absolutely it's true and it hooks you in two different ways. It's not only what I call taste inflation, which means that your tongue comes to expect an extreme taste sensation with all foods, thereby making processed foods more exciting and natural foods taste boring. MSG also alters the function of the endocrine system which is your appetite regulation system. It, in a sense, disables the appetite control mechanism in your brain, thereby causing you to overeat without feeling hungry. If you've ever eaten an entire bag of snack chips or you've eaten an embarrassingly large portion of some kind of junk food, part of the reason may be because this MSG is short-circuiting your appetite control mechanism. The food companies love that because they know that it sells more food. The sad part is they don't have to pay for the obesity problem in this country. The burden of that is carried by the consumers, not the food companies whose products actually cause the obesity. Crusador: Have you ever had any communication with executives at some of these big food companies like Kraft or General Mills and confronted them about these issues? Mike: No. I doubt they would want to talk to me on the record. We have written grocery stores and asked them why they carry products that contain ingredients known to promote cancer and heart disease such as trans fatty acids. They all reply with basically the same answer which is consumers keep buying it, so we're going to keep stocking it. Crusador: They do have some responsibility though because many people don't have the knowledge like you or I have. There’s also a whole class of society that are on food stamps or low incomes and they can't afford to go out of their way to a health food store. It may be true that they’re stocking it because people are buying it but in a lot of cases that's all there is to buy. Mike: What's really interesting in all of that is that every organization in that commercial chain from the food manufacturer to the distributor to the retailer, they all disclaim any responsibility for the effects of these foods upon fellow human beings. They operate, I believe, with a serious lack of ethics. If you know something is harmful, you have a moral obligation not to expose your community to that food or that toxic substance. That's the code of ethics that I operate on, but that code of ethics seems to be absent from the commercial world that we see here in the U.S. today. It's all about making money and if someone's harmed from it, well, that's their problem. Crusador: Is it true that most grocery products that make loud health claims on their packaging are basically a scam? Mike: Well, these corporations finally woke up and realized that consumers do want healthier products. But instead of doing the right thing and reformulating their products to actually use healthful ingredients, they decided to just create the illusion of health by using clever gimmicks, marketing, and claims on their packaging to trick consumers into thinking that the same product that used to be unhealthy is now healthy. I'll give you a good example. There's a famous chocolate milk brand that has a claim on the front of the product that says it's great for kid's bones because it contains a little bit of calcium. However, if you look at the main ingredient in the product it's just straight table sugar. This is a refined sugar product that is highly acidic. It will actually deplete bone mineral density in the bodies of children. It contains a tiny amount of supplemental calcium in the form of calcium carbonate, which is the least absorbable form of calcium. Since it has calcium added, the FDA allows the manufacturer to put this claim on what is essentially a junk food product and claim that it's good for children's bones. It’s completely ludicrous. Crusador: It sure is. Unfortunately that goes on with thousands and thousands of products on the market today. I’ve done a lot of work on pH and how it is a prime indicator of health. What many people don’t realize is that when you consume these products that are acidic, it actually leeches calcium, magnesium, potassium, and minerals that your body requires from the bones and tissues in order to buffer the acids and the poisons you're putting into your body. Mike: Exactly. Many of these companies make absurd claims. I remember reading about an executive of a top soda company who was once being questioned about these sodas being introduced into Third World countries. They were being blamed for causing obesity, diabetes, and nutritional deficiencies. This executive said no, that's not true, these beverages are wholesome beverages that provide these people with a good source of hydration. He says they're all dehydrated and we're actually providing a public service by selling them soda. This is the kind of arrogance that we see in the food and beverage industries. Crusador: It's astounding. You have another free report that somebody can download from your website called "Grocery Warning." In this report you say that virtually all modern disease is caused by metabolic disrupters found in everyday foods and groceries. One of the subheads under that is "The Cancer In Your Refrigerator." That’s a shocking statement. Tell us about that, Mike. Mike: Sure. First, I'd like to mention a free resource that people can download along those lines. It's called the Honest Food Guide, and it's available in a PDF file at www.honestfoodguide.org. It's a one-page reference chart that replaces the government's food guide pyramid which is a corrupt industry-influenced document. The honest food guide tells the truth about what foods to eat and what foods to avoid. Now to get to your question about "The Cancer In The Refrigerator," virtually every American can open up their refrigerator and find some kind of processed meat product that contains an ingredient called sodium nitrite. It can either be sodium nitrate or nitrite. This ingredient sounds innocent. It sounds like a form of salt, but the true story that people do not know about this ingredient is that it has really one purpose; it's a color fixer. It turns meat red. It makes meat that's three months old look like fresh meat. It's used in virtually every packaged meat product on the market from pepperoni to bacon, breakfast sausage, ham, turkey, and the meat in canned soups.
Let me tell you what this chemical does. By itself it's not a carcinogen, but once you consume it, it mixes with your hydrochloric acid and then it forms a class of chemical compounds called nitrosamines. Nitrosamines are potent cancer-causing chemicals. These are the chemicals that lab rat researchers put into a syringe and inject into lab rats when they want to give them cancer so that they can study cancer tumors. That's how powerful this is. Crusador: How much do they have to use on a rat to cause cancer and is there any way to correlate how much is in the meat so you have a good comparison? Mike: No, I don't have the numbers or the concentration of this chemical, you know, parts per million or anything like that. But we do know that people who consume just one serving of processed meats each day have a 67 percent higher risk of pancreatic cancer. They have more than doubling of the risk of colon cancer. We're also seeing this ingredient causing diabetes, heart disease and other cancers throughout the body, not just the colon and the pancreas. It also causes stomach cancer and this has been coming to light over the last two years. So think about how astounding this is. We know, according to well-established science, that there is a chemical being intentionally added to foods that will undeniably give people cancer, and yet the FDA allows it, the food companies continue doing it, and grocery stores keep selling it. There's no outcry. The mainstream media is silent and people are dying. Children have a 300 percent increased risk of brain tumors if they eat hot dogs on a regular basis because hot dogs have this chemical as well. This is the kind of harm that the food industry is knowingly causing to our population. It is a form of nutritional genocide. Crusador: It’s very astounding to me, too. We haven't even touched on another huge topic that I've been hammering on for years and that is genetically engineered foods. Over 70 percent of the foods in the grocery store today contain at least one ingredient that was grown through the use of genetic engineering. Genetically engineered foods have been linked to numerous health problems and the government has not required any safety studies to be conducted to prove they are safe. The problems are across the board. Where does it end, Mike? What is a consumer supposed to do? Mike: Fortunately, you can still buy natural foods the way God and nature intended us to eat. You can still go to a grocery store and buy fresh produce. You can go to a health food store and buy organic produce. There is a wealth of information on the Internet and through publications like yours that can teach people how to eat healthy, even in a world that appears to be going insane on health issues. By taking responsibility for our choices and educating ourselves, we can change our health for the better. In fact, we have the potential to be healthier human beings today than any of our parents or grandparents or ancestors in the history of human civilization. Today we have more high-density nutritional supplements. We have a wider variety of fresh produce from around the world that we have access to. We have technologies like these high-tech Vitamix blenders that can help us prepare healthy foods. We can be healthier than anyone in history if we make that choice and we stop listening to the lies of the food and pharmaceutical industries and our own U.S. government that has been hijacked by them. Crusador: In addition to the problems you expose, you also teach people how they can reverse disease. In a report posted on your website you say "A unique chemical found in another super food I recommend has been clinically shown to repair nerve damage in the brain and throughout the body and it's currently being used by people suffering from depression, Alzheimer's, memory loss, and even degenerative disorders like muscular dystrophy." What is this? Mike: The healthy Omega 3 oils, the fish oils. The nutrients that they contain actually have a rebuilding effect on the nervous system. We know now that Alzheimer's disease, for example, is not permanent. The medical myth is that it causes permanent damage to the brain, but what we now know is that it's really just a buildup of plaque that can be reversed in the same way that your arteries can be cleaned if you start changing your diet. Then your nervous system can also shed that plaque and it can restore its normal natural function. You can reverse Alzheimer's through nutrition. Some of that is through healthy oils. You also need minerals such as selenium and zinc, and there are numerous nutritional supplements such as ginkgo biloba, which is an herb that boosts circulation to the brain. There's another beneficial supplement called phosphatidylcholine. Phosphatidylserine is another one. These are all neuro-protective supplements, and these active chemical constituents can be found in foods. Actually if you look at the most powerful nutritional supplements, you'll find that they're an extract of something that you can get in a food. Crusador: In another report you published you get into food combinations and why there are certain foods that should never be eaten together. Which foods destroy the medicine in other foods if eaten together? Mike: Most natural medicine is found in plants, not in meat products. All of these phytonutrients, these medicines such as anthocyanidins and resveratrol and so on, these are found in plants, everything from grapes to broccoli. One of the healing medicines found in plants are called sterols. When they come from plants, they're often called phytosterols. Phytosterols are very powerful medicine for cardiovascular health. They protect the heart. They help prevent heart attacks and strokes, but when you eat phytosterols with animal fat at the same meal, the animal fat blocks the absorption of the phytosterols. It essentially renders your salad useless if you follow it with a steak. This is why it's always good to have at least one fresh, raw plant-based meal a day with nothing meat based on that meal, nothing from animals. No milk, because that has a saturated animal fat as well. I have at least one meal a day and it's just fresh, raw plants. The best way to do that, which I recommend, is to get yourself a Vitamix and blend up a bunch of fruits and vegetables. Every morning I start my day by drinking a mixture of cucumbers, sprouts, raw okra, celery, and some berries.
Crusador: What kind of feedback are you getting from people reading your reports and making some of these changes in their life? Mike: We're getting an enormous amount of positive feedback. We actually ran a survey a few months ago and asked readers to tell us what kind of benefits they were experiencing. The numbers were astonishing. They're actually posted on our website. It showed that 78 percent of all the readers experienced health benefits. We have people who have been able to eliminate their dependence on prescription drugs. One woman lost a significant amount of excess body weight and is saving $350 a month that she was previously spending on prescription drugs. It's not like she just stopped taking the drugs. Actually she started following nutrition and natural health and her body began to heal to the point where she no longer needed those drugs. That's what happens to virtually everyone who begins to look at natural health and follows these strategies. The body restores its own natural balance. Doctors like to blame sickness on our genes. The fact is 75 percent or more of our genes are there for one purpose only, and that's to protect us from disease, including infectious disease. All we have to do is activate our healing genes or set in motion those self-healing mechanisms. Our genes are there to make us well, not to make us sick. The doctors, the researchers, and the drug companies have been lying to us. There is no gene that causes Alzheimer's. There's no gene that causes diabetes. Rather you have a blueprint for perfect health. All you have to do is activate that blueprint. It's really a miracle that we were given the software to have perfect health and all we have to do is let that software run. So many of us in modern Western civilization suppress those healing genes through foods, toxic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, high levels of stress, lack of sunlight, bad air, unclean water, antibiotics. That's why we end up in states of chronic disease, and then the doctors turn around and say, "Oh, we have a solution for that. We'll give you more chemicals." It's absurd. Crusador: It is, yet the solutions seem so simple. It's amazing that so many people have fallen for these deceptions. Mike: Well, the funding available to the sickness industry is almost unlimited. They can run television ads, buy the influence of lawmakers; influence the FDA and USDA. Many food companies are now partially owned by pharmaceutical companies. The top six vitamin companies are owned by pharmaceutical companies. This is an industry that will stop at nothing to spread false information and spread malicious lies to discredit the competition and make sure that people stay in a state of chronic disease because that's how they get repeat business. You don't make money if you're a pharmaceutical company by curing someone of diabetes and sending them home. That's only a one-time fee. The way you make money off someone from diabetes, if you have no ethics and you really care about profits, is you keep them in a chronic state of blood sugar management. That's exactly what the pharmaceutical drugs do for diabetics. They even teach diabetics that there is no cure for diabetes, which is patently false. You can cure Type II diabetes in three weeks. It's been clinically proven. That was a UCLA study. Crusador: What did they do in three weeks to cure diabetes? Mike: They just changed people's diets. That's it. They eliminated the high glycemic index foods, and in three weeks over 50 percent of the study participants were symptomless. Crusador: Is it as simple as getting off of high glycemic foods or are the oils that you talked about also intimately linked with that? Mike: Well, in reality the oils are intimately linked. But these researchers didn't even go that far. They just basically put people on fresh produce, you know, greens and fruits, nuts and seeds; and guess what? No more diabetes. These diseases have cures. Last time I counted there were 18 different cures for cancer. These are well-known throughout the world but they are suppressed in the United States because the cancer industry is the single most powerful disease industry of them all. Crusador: Can you touch on any of these cures? Mike: Well, with that I'll put a disclaimer up front and that is that most people are looking for a magic bullet cure that allows them to avoid taking responsibility for their own health. That's the wrong mind-set to have when you're trying to cure cancer. They think that something external from themselves like a pill or a doctor or a treatment will cure them. As long as they believe that, they will never be cured. Cancer is only cured from the inside out. You are your own doctor; you are your own cure. What you can do is again activate that self-healing mechanism so that you cure cancer yourself. One simple way and it's free of charge -- is to get natural sunlight on your skin. I believe the last number I saw reported was that around two-thirds of those who live in North America are chronically deficient in vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency is, of course, completely reversed by sunlight exposure because your skin generates vitamin D on its own at no charge when you expose it to the sun. Now, vitamin D halts the growth of cancer tumors. People who have sufficient levels of vitamin D in their blood on a regular basis very rarely have breast cancer or prostate cancer or even other types of cancer. They also don't suffer from osteoporosis, depression, schizophrenia, gum disease, or diabetes. This is how powerful vitamin D is. If it were a drug, it would be front page news all over the world. Crusador: What about supplemental forms of vitamin D from cod liver oil or vitamin supplements on the market? Are they as effective as the sun or do they work in combination together? Mike: They do work. However, vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, so if you take too much in a supplement form, you can actually overdose on vitamin D; whereas, if you expose your skin to sunlight, then your body will automatically stop generating it when you have your fill of vitamin D. If you stick to nature, you will generate exactly the amount of vitamin D you need and nothing more. You have exactly what you need.
Now, people say, well, what about skin cancer? Well, guess what? Vitamin D also halts skin cancer. And what we're seeing now is that sunscreens actually contain chemicals that cause skin cancer. Sunscreens not only block the generation of vitamin D, which increases your risk for other cancers, the sunscreens themselves contain chemicals including fragrance chemicals that actually cause cancer in the skin. What a great scam we have out there in the industry. Crusador: All they do is stop a sunburn, but they don't stop cancer. Mike: The way to stop a sunburn is not to put cream on your skin and eat a lot of antioxidants from natural sources such as blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. If you eat a high number of antioxidants, your skin will automatically be more resistant to ultraviolet radiation. Sunburn is actually caused by nutritional deficiency, not merely by exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Think about it. Our ancestors ran around on this planet for thousands of years without sunscreen. They weren't indoors all day sitting under a fluorescent light surfing the Internet. People worked outside. They were in the sun. They were eating food from their own gardens. They didn't have pharmaceuticals, and they were just fine. The risk of death 200 years ago was mostly as an infant. It was the infant deaths that brought the average life span down. But if you survived through infancy and you lived 100 years ago, you were going to be a lot healthier than Americans are today. Crusador: I’m glad you said that because the medical system and so-called experts tell us that it's the advancement of their drugs, vaccines, and medical treatments that are making people live longer and that we're the longest-living generation ever. That’s a complete fabrication when millions of people a year are dying in the United States from various diseases. Mike: Well, as I say, conventional medicine isn't helping people live longer. It's helping people die longer, because it's keeping them in a state of chronic disease and near death states where they don't have cognitive function, they don't have a quality of life that should be available to them. They're just sort of kept on a drug-induced life support, eight or nine different prescription drugs at a time with multiple visits to the doctor. That's not a state of life. That's just dying longer. And yes, conventional medicine is really good at helping people die longer. Crusador: Another downloadable report from your website is called "The Seven Laws of Nutrition." What do you get into in this report? Mike: Well, let me introduce it this way: It's a really interesting book that will challenge and help reshape distorted beliefs that you might have about nutrition and it starts with these ideas: Everybody who is a gardener or who takes care of a lawn recognizes that nutrition is very important to grow plants and to grow your grass. If your grass turns brown, you put water on it. You don't spray paint it green to make it look green. If your tomatoes are turning a strange color, then you know you need to add copper or you need to add zinc. Depending on what is happening to the leaves of the plants you know what nutrients you need to add. Every gardener knows this. Now, at the same time, every veterinarian knows that if your animal is sick, it probably has something to do with the food. You keep animals healthy through nutrition. You do it with your dogs, your cats and ranch animals such as cows, horses, pigs, and sheep. Every rancher knows this because they make money from raising healthy animals, not from raising sick animals. However, when it comes to humans, we turn to the twisted industry of conventional medicine. We're all told the big lie which is that nutrition doesn't matter for humans. Somehow nutrition makes all the plants healthy, it makes all the animals healthy, but not people. Many doctors say you don't even need to take vitamins. They say your food provides you with everything you need. They say vitamins won't prevent disease, that it’s all nonsense. So this book, "The Seven Laws of Nutrition," takes you through these simple common-sense ideas and explains to you how nutrition really works in human health to help correct these distorted beliefs that we've all been taught by our doctors. Crusador: You also have a report titled “The Healing Power of Water” where you interview a gentleman named Dr. Batmanghelidj who spent part of his life teaching people about the importance of drinking enough water. He authored a very well known book titled “Your Body’s Many Cries For Water.” He claims that most diseases are caused by dehydration. What's your take on that, and can you share with us any of the things that you learned from him? Mike: Dr. B was an incredible pioneer and he was right on track. Water is the first medicine that we should turn to. The reason it's not even looked at in conventional medicine is because no one can make money from prescribing water. It's freely available or nearly free. What Dr. B pointed out is that water can actually be medicine. Here's a good example. Your body must maintain a certain level of hydration or it will die, period. Your brain is more than 80 percent water. It's mostly water and fat. Now, if you lose water, you will lose consciousness and die. Your body has an emergency water control system. If you begin to get dehydrated, your body will reduce the loss of water through breathing. Every time you exhale, you're losing a little bit of water in your breath. This is very obvious. If you breathe in a cold environment, you can see the water in your breath you lost. If you're dehydrated your body will produce histamines in order to cause the lungs and the capillaries in the lungs to constrict so they sort of tighten up and close up. That way it minimizes the loss of water during respiration. This condition, if you go to a doctor, is diagnosed as asthma. And guess what gets prescribed? A histamine.
So the chemical signal that your body produced to try to save yourself from dehydration is being overridden by the pharmaceutical prescribed by the doctor, which forces the capillaries to open, thereby causing you to lose even more water and get even more dehydrated. Rather than just giving the patient water, they give them drugs and leave them in a state of chronic dehydration. What's the result of that? Kidney stones, organ malfunction, blood sludge, as we call it; sludge without the proper flow and many other things that are caused from lack of water. Crusador: Isn't it true, even with a lot of the congestive heart failure conditions that it's caused by a lack of water? Mike: Yes. Crusador: They have it because the body is trying to retain water and hang on to what it’s not getting? Mike: Absolutely. Look at back pain. Chronic back pain, as I learned, is often relieved just by drinking additional water. In fact, water is extremely useful for weight loss. If you will drink an eight ounce glass of water before each meal, you will find that your appetite is somewhat suppressed. The only thing to worry about there is you also dilute the acidity of your hydrochloric acid, which could reduce the ability to digest your meal. So if you do that, I suggest taking digestive enzymes with your meal. Crusador: It’s interesting what you just said about asthma. There’s an explosion of asthma in children today and the medical community is scratching their heads as to the reasons why.
Mike: There was an announcement that we covered the other day where a prominent medical journal said we should abandon the term "asthma" because they said it's really not a disease. It's just a name given to a whole bunch of different symptoms that have different causes. So there's even a call in mainstream medicine to eliminate that term. When a doctor says you have asthma, it's meaningless. Crusador: Didn’t Dr. B say that asthma was caused by dehydration? Mike: Yes, that's exactly what he said. Now, it's not dehydration in 100 percent, but a very large percentage of people who suffer from this so-called disease can eliminate it through simple hydration. Crusador: There must be a correlation between that and all the soft drinks children are drinking today? Mike: Absolutely. Soft drinks actually cause your body to lose more water than they replenish. The soft drinks are a dehydrating beverage. It takes more water to process all the high fructose corn syrup and the phosphoric acid and the other ingredients than is provided by the beverage itself. This is why drinking a can of soda makes you thirsty and why you can't just drink one can. You're thirsty an hour later because you're still dehydrated. Crusador: Let me ask you about a prominent doctor involved in alternative medicine. I respect some of his work because he puts out some good material and he exposes a lot of deceptions, but I am troubled by his stance on water. His name is Dr. William Campbell Douglass. He advertises on the Internet with a headline stating that he hasn't had a glass of water in 20 years. In his report he says that people are wasting their time drinking all this water. What do you have to say about that? Mike: Well, he's allied with a publishing/marketing company that's known for using rather sensational headlines to get people to subscribe. I'm not even sure that he believes that, and if he does, I would really question that. I don't know the man personally, so I don't know what his ethics or intentions are. But I would say that it's really common sense; that anyone who says you shouldn't drink water is not a person to be taken seriously. We are in an environment that tends to dehydrate us just by breathing. Just by being alive, we lose water every single second. To say that we shouldn't replenish that water is just complete medical nonsense. Our blood, in fact, has almost the same mineral profile as the ocean. We are creatures that are tied to this earth and this earth is the water planet. We're like walking water bags on land. That's sort of what we are. Crusador: Let me touch on a different topic. You have some information on your website about how to beat the bird flu. We did a big story in Crusader with Dr. Sherri Tenpenny back in the spring. It seems like the news on the bird flu has calmed down a little bit for now. However, every year in October we start getting propagandized with getting flu shots and I'm sure that the whole bird flu agenda is going to be put back on the front pages very soon. What's your take on the bird flu? Mike: Well, it's true that the pharmaceutical companies exploit this bird flu issue to scare people into getting vaccine shots that have nothing to do with bird flu. We saw the same thing last year. People lined up outside clinics to get flu shots. I actually went up and asked some of those people why they were getting the shots, and they said because of the bird flu. I told them this vaccine has nothing to do with the bird flu, yet it didn't seem to make them want to leave. They were willing to be injected with mercury and all varieties of strange chemicals and DNA fragments that don't belong inside the body.
The fact is research shows that getting vaccinated against the flu is only effective at reducing flu in about 1 percent of those who get vaccinated. 1 percent. And yet at the same time, it harms the immune system of virtually everyone who gets the shot. Why does it do that? Because it takes away the opportunity for your immune system to do its job. Your immune system is designed to identify invading pathogens such as viruses and then to eliminate those from your body. In doing so, it stores the pattern of that virus so that you'll never be harmed by that virus again in the future. This happens automatically. You don't even have to think about it. But when we're injected with dead viruses, then it's sort of like giving a crutch to your immune system and doesn't give it the ability to exercise the function it's supposed to play. Down the road that person's immune system will be suppressed against other infectious diseases. If we go out and get vaccinated every year against the flu, then when the big flu hits, pandemic style, we're going to end up with a weakened immune system and it could be fatal. I never get vaccines. Every year I expose myself to all the viruses. I go to the gym, stretch out on the floor, lift the weights and handle the equipment. I don't care because my immune system is working. Crusador: So what’s your take on beating the bird flu should it happen to become an infectious disease that spreads from human to human? Mike: Well, the bird flu is a potent upper respiratory infectious disease and it works by activating a hyperactive immune system response called a cytokine storm. The cytokines are the immune system proteins that are inflammatory in nature. The bird flu activates those and causes the lungs to fill with fluid and you essentially drown in your own fluid. So the important thing with bird flu is that if you don't beat it naturally, you need to supplement with powerful natural medicine that helps calm the inflammatory response of the immune system. I know this might be getting technical, but that's the truth of what you want. The things that do that, by the way, are fish oils, green tee, curcumin, and a host of other natural compounds. We find the answers in nature, not in some pharmaceutical. Mike: Perhaps one overlay to all of this is so many people are confused about which information they should believe. I'd like to point out to those people that you should look at the source of the information and what their profit motive is. Any information that comes out of a TV commercial should not be believed. Any information that comes out of a newspaper or a magazine that also accepts advertising from the food industry should not be believed because it's influenced by the advertisers. You should only get information from sources that are dedicated to providing an independent viewpoint where they're not some big network corporation that's just out to make money. They have a more important mission. They really want to educate and help people and it's obvious in what they choose to cover. Crusador: That's what you’re doing do through your awesome website and that's why I'm privileged to interview you and help get the truth out. Mike: Well, thank you, Greg. And likewise, with Crusader. You know, this is what it's going to take to educate people and make some positive changes because really, the future of our nation is at stake here. We cannot succeed as a free society if we are chronically diseased because, number one, we'll go bankrupt. Look at all the jobs leaving the U.S. Why do you think GM is shutting down plants and Ford is laying employees off? One reason is because health care is too expensive. GM spends more on health care than they do on steel. The jobs are going overseas because no company can afford to pay health insurance in the U.S. anymore. 47 million Americans don't have health insurance and that number continues to grow every year. The answer, again, is not more drugs or shifting the costs to somebody else or even socialized medicine; that's not the answer. The answer is prevention: nutrition, education, banning the advertising of junk food to children, exposing the fraud, the corruption and the crimes of these pharmaceutical companies, prosecuting the criminals who currently run the FDA. They are criminals and the U.S. Department of Justice should be in there making arrests and holding these people accountable for their crimes against humanity.
